MACSS’ first social event for this year is here!! Come join us for our annual WELCOME BACK BBQ where we guarantee a good time with food and friends!

You can find us on Friday September 30th outside of Strathcona (by the picnic tables) @ 4:00pm – 6:00pm. There will be plenty of options for those who love meat and those who are vegetarian.

MACSS ONLINE YOGA CLASS

MACSS’ first remote event for this winter is here!! Come join our event and enjoy a nice yoga session to help you kick off the start of this semester! Our online event will be held on February 5th at 11:00AM (EDT).
This event is a special 40-min yoga class for a mindful yoga flow incorporating a full-body stretch with some core-toning poses to increase your strength. The class uses a few different techniques (breath + body connection) to bring you into the present moment. Improving your mindfulness in your yoga practice will help you enjoy the subtle benefits of yoga, such as improved focus, calm, peacefulness, clarity, and quality of sleep.
It is also a good opportunity to see some of your peers and relax with them, all from the comfort of your home and for FREE!! MACSS Black Friday Sale!

Hey ACB! Panicking about finals starting soon? We are!! So, just like last year, MACSS has decided that for an early Black Friday, we are going to have an NTC sale so that you can get some last-minute notes right before the final season starts!Starting tomorrow, from November 22nd to November 26th, be sure to visit us in the MACSS office any workday from 9AM – 1PM to purchase any NTCs, coursepacks, or lab manuals that you need!We will be selling NTCs for $35 and a NTC+Question Pack bundle at $45!!! ANAT 262 Midterm Kahoot Review (March 5)

MACSS X MISA X MBSU Pajama Crawl (Feb 19)

The weather outside means it’s officially the time for winter blues, but fret not, MBSU, MACSS and MISA are here to cheer you up with you guessed it, a crawl!

It’s not just any crawl, it’s a pajama crawl! No more worrying about pretending you put clothes on for the day when let’s face it, nowadays there’s hardly a reason to change. Get comfortable and get ready to participate in all the classic crawl games. We know it looks different than previous pajama crawls, but we promise we’re doing our best to make it fun!

Cookies, Coffee & Chill: Evening with an alumna (Feb 10)

MACSS is happy to host the first Cookies, Coffee, and Chill of the semester on February 10, 2021 at 6 pm EST. For this edition of CCC, we are excited to have Ashley Tritt as our guest for the evening!

She is a graduate from the program and pursued medical school at McGill University after her bachelor’s degree. She is currently a pediatrics resident at Hopital St-Justine. She will discuss her path to medicine and pediatrics followed by a discussion period where all questions are welcomed.

MACSS X PILS Present: Love Potion (Feb 13)

When you are asked to stay home but still crave for that drink with bae? Are you single and ready to mingle? MACSS and PILS got you covered with a virtual cocktail workshop for you and your valentine!

Now you can have a fun activity with your loved ones, enjoy a lovely drink and all in the comfort of your own home. Via ZOOM (more information will be sent after registration) we offer a cocktail (and mocktail/non alcoholic drinks) workshop. In the days before, we’ll send all participants a list with all ingredients, tools, and recipes. You will need some ice cubes and glassware.


During this virtual cocktail workshop of 45 minutes, our bartenders take you through all the steps of making these super cocktails. We will give a live hands-on demonstration of how to make these signature cocktails at home.
Once your drinks are ready to enjoy, you can have fun with all participants. Ready for another one? You now know how to shake a new cocktail yourself.

MACSS X NUM Online Cooking Class with Chef Afram (Feb 6)

Grab your drinks and ready your ingredients because NUM and MACSS are bringing you THE cooking show you were craving for. Come join us on February 6th at 6:30 PM for a chill interactive cooking session with Chef Afram as he showcases his talent and expertise in teaching you how to cook a delicious yet basic dish!

Chef Bio: Chef Afram is an international chef who graduated from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu London culinary school in 2018. After graduating, he spent his first years as a chef at Scully St James’s in London, where he mastered asian fusion cuisine. He then worked as a chef at the world renown, Michelin Star winning HIDE restaurant in London, UK
